The USP of the PG Animation Design course at IILM will be the fact that a student will learn the entire process of animation film making, from script to screen, and not just specific tools of animation. Besides having a considerable command on some of the important tools used in the industry.

The students would be able to plug into jobs in the industry as animators, storyboard artists, lighting artists in production houses. Would be able to use their conceptualizing skills as visualizes or producers in TV channels where producers are expected to come up with a complete film. To enable students to start their own design firms, consultancies and provide clients with a wide variety of Animation related design activities like Ad film making, Character design, storyboarding, book illustration and logo design.

The first semester would be focused on basic animation courses like principles of animation, drawing, color and character design. The second semester would have some more courses like photography, sound design, video, editing along with the animation courses. The 2nd year would be totally project based with a student having to complete two 30 seconds short films from script to screen.
