PGDP in Textiles and Apparel Design
 
Textiles are the backbone to the garment and fashion industry as well as the home furnishings industry. Apparel design is a diversification from its parent learning i.e. textiles. Apparel design for fashion or function is a process of combining the technical and visual elements of the material (mostly fabric). Therefore it is essential to study this subject as an integrated course. It also provides the students with an opportunity to provide services in a varied felid as a Textile designer and/or pursue further studies. The student joining this course can specialise in any one of the selected fields: Apparel Design, Fibre art and home furnishings
 
The Role of a Textile and Apparel Designer/Career Opportunities
A Post Graduate of the textile and apparel design department of the IILM School of Design will be able to perform in the garment and fashion industry as well as be able to have a career in the furnishing industry.
